It's PickleBall Time!!!

The last two weeks students at Sperreng have taken up racket sports. Last week we played badminton and learned just how hard it is to hit a birdie. We learned the forehand, backhand and lob stroke and then utilized those strokes in various games. This week the boys have discovered the awesome sport of PickleBall! PickleBall is one of the fastest growing sports in the world that was invented by two dads who were bored with their kids and their dog. Pickles the dog kept getting the ball, hence the name PickleBall. Students here have really taken to PickleBall, which is comparable to giant ping-pong. World Cup!!!!

Fall is in the air and at Sperreng Middle School that can only mean one thing....World Cup Soccer!!! The kids have selected a country to represent (some countries are made up) and now they are battling to hoist the illustrious World Cup trophy. The games will be heated and hard-fought but in the end only one country will be victorious!!! The links below will show the progress of each class so you can keep track.
