As quickly as our Outdoor Games unit started, Mother Nature said "nope, that's enough!" We are back indoors today after finally getting outside yesterday. All of the PE classes were outside on the fields yesterday playing the various games (ladder golf, washers, horseshoes, wiffleball, bocce, badminton) and it looked so awesome! We could not have asked for better weather yesterday too. I wish I would have taken pictures yesterday to post but alas in all the wonderment I forgot :(
We will attempt to pick up the unit next week, assuming Mother Nature lets us. On a side note, Dippin Dot sales went very well. We are getting a final total on the numbers and we are excited to get new fitness equipment for our department. The students are going to see some new things and experience a lot of new things next year and we are all very excited!!!!
Thanks and as always...

Gotta Love the Rain
It seems that Mother Nature has it out for us this year. This is easily the craziest weather year I have experienced and it really puts a damper on our outdoor plans. As many of you know, we were supposed to start our outdoor games unit this week (washers, ladder golf, horseshoes, wiffleball, badminton, bocce ball) but with the rain we have had to postpone them. We will still be selling Dippin Dots tomorrow (Wednesday 5/18) for $4 a pouch to help pay for our new fitness equipment but the games may be moved inside or we may have to call a complete audible. With these outdoor games, we need space and we have limited indoor space to set up all of these games so we may do different games inside.
Either way, we will get these fun, outdoor games in someway, somehow!!! We are determined to teach these kids the traditional Missouri outdoor games that we all play on camping trips, float trip and family gatherings.
Please let us know if you have any questions or want more information on the equipment we will be purchasing.
